Superbowl Sunday

Well, it's Superbowl Sunday. That means it's a whole day of sports on TV.. Golf in the afternoon, and football in the evening, so I think I'll sew today and do some planning of Emily's quilt for her July birthday. I will probably machine quilt Baby Aurora's French Rose quilt too.

Today, I've made 2 of those cute little kleenex pouches for Jessica and Emily. They are coming home from their cruise vacation today, so that'll be a little something for them. I'm making kits for 2 of my aunts who love to sew crafty things. I'll include an already prepared kleenex holder, one that is just folded, and of course the instructions from the internet. They will like that.

On Friday, Michele gave me a bag of juicebags. It's the motherload. It's mostly koolaid bags. So Mert and I washed them yesterday and they are drying today. I don't know how many there are but I bet there's over 100. I'm going to make some do-it-yourself juicebag kits up to give to my Friday Girls to do. I had one very experienced sewer test my juicebag instructions and she gave me a few suggestions. So that's done and I'll be emailing those to Canadian Living Magazine on Monday.

Yesterday, I finished a little sookie quilt for Baby A which was made from leftovers from the quilt that Patience made for her last summer. I was glad to do it since I got alot of practice using some of the techniques, that I learned watching the Pajama quilter DVD.
This is a detail to show the free motion quilting.
