I love my Seam Ripper

My blanket stitching from yesterday was just not coming out right.  I guess I should have used a stabilizer.   So after stitching a few letters, I decided it had to come out.   I love my seam ripper.  He's very efficient.   In less than half an hour, he had all the little pieces of black thread picked out, and in the garbage.

I'm about to start over...I think I will use a small zig zag instead of the blanket stitch around all those letters.

Regarding my lack of light blue fabric for my mitts row ....A quilter friend Sandra had a great suggestion/comment on my blog post from yesterday.   So, does anyone have a 10" WOF piece of light blue that I can use for my mitts background.  A light slate blue that a solid color, or reads as a solid.  (lighter than my Winter Wonderland Words in this photo)

Give me a call, and I'll swap you.... Or maybe I'll find something at the Keswick Quilt Show this weekend....

Exactly what I am looking for Gail, and Fabricville doesn't have any! Is Mert for hire?

You are lucky! My husband always untangles my wool when I am knitting. What would we do without them!
