Blackford's Beauty - Finished

It's folded over my railing so that I won't have to iron it again before delivery.   It still is months away from being totally done and when I see it again, it won't look the same at all.  Hand quilting just adds such a elegance to a traditional quilt.  There's nothing like it.

The top, the label and the binding all ready to deliver to the St. Dunstan's hand-quilters next Thursday.  I'll join them for tea break and let them have a look at it.   I know they'll love it

It is beautiful. I would love to work on it. Too bad I live so far away.

The strong pattern with all that gorgeous white space for hand quilting will certainly result in a stunner. However, I don't envy the person who has to make the first marks on it! Pressure! lol

Beautiful Gail!! Lots of space for some lovely hand-quilting. I'll want a ticket or two on this one for sure!

Beautiful Gail. I especially like the red border. I totally agree with Karen's remarks on how organized you are and stick to a schedule. Lucy

Such a striking result from a simple block. I will echo admiration for your ability to stick to your goals and schedule. The hand quilting should be stunning on the white. Will they choose traditional white or perhaps blue?

Gorgeous.Would you care to leave a post about how you did your label for this. I have a quilt to be gifted next week and would like to do an awesome label to go on it.

Okay Gail, my winter vacation is over, and looking at this stunning quilt I MUST get back in the groove of sewing. "Kick please".
St Dunstan's are so lucky to have you as its generous donator of expertise and talent, to say nothing of the hours and hours of disciplined time that you spend. They will love it and no doubt sell LOADS of tickets. Beautiful Gail...see you Friday.
