In Between Sewing

I'm in between sewing projects. I'm looking for small things to sew until I decide what to work on next. I do have a "Want-to-do" list, but don't feel like searching for the fabrics required.
.
So, to fill in a bit of sewing time, I just completed putting binding on all my recent free machine quilting practice pieces, including a larger piece - the 9-patch table runner.
.
In addition to getting more comfortable doing free motion, I achieved a few things by doing this. I used up a bunch of little pieces of fabric and batting bits that I was hanging on to, but not much good for anything. But I couldn't throw them away. I had a bunch of left over binding bits left over from binding larger projects. I am glad to use up all those lengths to bind these little mats.
.
And the best part, is that I now have 6 cat mats that will make some cats feel really cozy.
.
Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty!

What a great way to use up your practice pieces. Why is it that we just cannot throw away those little scraps of batting?!?
