A Foxy Scarf - You can make one too. - Update

Does this little fox look warm and cozy.  This fun little scarf is just perfect to wear around the house.  I used a wool blend fabric on top, and a nice soft white minky type of fabric on the underside.  So cozy.... I had intended on making these with the kids at my mini-Grammie camp the weekend before last.  But, we had too many activities to do in such a little bit of time.   I told the kids I would make them up for them.    I'll give it to them this weekend.   Cute eh!

Want to make your own, it's a free tutorial... click here.

Update:  I finished the other 3 foxes.  Now they are hanging over my railing waiting for the kiddos.  I love them.   I'll try to find photos of the women wearing real ones in the old days.  It might bring some meaning as to why I think these are so cute.

Gail, this is hilarious. You always find the most interesting projects to do and show us. What a great change from a drab old rectangular scarf.

Wonder how many people, even of our generation, wouldn't get the significance of wearing the fox around the neck. My grandmother had a fox hide stole, complete with the head, that she had kept from the days when it was the fashion. Creeped me out when I was a kid, but now I can't wait to go get some fabric so I can make this fox!

Adorable! When my son was little my brother was cleaning out the last of my Mom's stuff and my son latched onto one of Mom's old mink neck wraps. Eww! It even has little claws. Oh, he did love that mink so much and wore it one winter. Happy to say - it is now retired on his bookcase! But the fabric foxes are really cute and fun animal hats, scarfs, mitts are so "in" right now!
