Remember, last winter, I told you of my new featherweight sewing machine. I was so excited to get it, but then I had this fear of something going wrong. What would I do if I broke it? How do I oil it? All this kept me from starting to sew on it. I talked to a few other featherweight owners, and I discovered I wasn't the only one. So a Featherweight workday was organized and 15 of us dug our featherweights out of the closet, and came out to learn how to maintain and use our machines. Oil, Lube, threading etc. We intended to go through all the feet, but we didn't have enough time. But I see that as GREAT excuse to all get back together again and sew with our new found confidence.

These are very cool pictures - neat to see so many Featherweights all together. They look like they've been well cared for too. Were there any little 222 free arms in the group? I'd be interested to know that. A fun way to spend a(nother) rainy Saturday.
Great pictures Gail. We had such a great day, not only with our machines but getting to meet other Featherweight owners. A definite reason to get together in the future to learn about all the different feet and how to use them. I hope we can do it again sometime. Lucy
Those are some cool pics ... I would love to have a featherweight someday.
Thanks so much for organizing this day, Gail!
All of the teachers were so helpful and with their one-to-one attention, we now have the confidence to maintain our machines. It would be great to get together from time to time to learn about the machine attachments, etc.
Love your posted photos!

Looks like a fun day!! Bet it was very helpful to all...
I was thrilled to see a 222K there yesterday. The lady that owned it was even more thrilled to find out what it was worth. How lucky was she to find one at a flea market for 75.00? It was a beauty. Someday maybe I will be that lucky.
It was a great day Gail. Thanks for organizing it. Everyone was wonderful, and it was fun to see everyone with fancy computerized machines so excited about an "old technology". lol My husband just didn't quite get what it was about a 1940's machine that got us so excited!
What a lovely post! Love the pics!
Looks like a fun and informative day! Hope I can join you sometime in the future!
